Neno Evangelism Centre founder and controversial preacher James Ng’ang’a has revealed an unsettling incident involving a woman who sent him an indecent photo, despite his well-known marriage to Murugi Maina.
Speaking during a church service, Ng’ang’a shared the story from the altar, warning his congregation about spiritual manipulation through lust and seduction.
“There is a woman who took a photo of her thighs and sent it to my phone,” Ng’ang’a said, as seen in a viral video shared online.
He condemned the act, not just as inappropriate, but as spiritually dangerous, stating that such images carry a demonic presence.
“When you see the thighs, what is next after that? For someone to send a photo of their thighs, they have sent you a bad spirit because you have opened the photo and seen it,” he added.
The preacher, known for his unapologetic sermons and fiery style, used the experience as a teachable moment for his followers, warning them against opening suggestive content — especially in an age where digital temptation is rampant.
Despite being targeted, the preacher reaffirmed his loyalty to his wife, Murugi Maina, whom he married in 2012 in a high-profile ceremony that was widely covered in Kenyan media.
Ng’ang’a’s statement comes at a time when clergy are increasingly being put under public scrutiny regarding morality, social influence, and accountability.
“I am married. I am not interested in those things,” he affirmed during the service.
