Car enthusiast and entrepreneur Khalif Kairo has sparked debate after advising men to put themselves first before their wives and children.
In a strongly worded Instagram post, Kairo argued that men who neglect their personal growth, health, and finances often end up depressed, manipulated, or failing in life. He said men must focus on building strength, independence, and discipline before they can effectively lead their families.
“Life experience has taught me that you need to put yourself first as a man. Not your kids, not your wife. Prioritise yourself and guard your energy. The world is very cruel to men who fail or lose focus,” Kairo stated.
Leadership Starts With Self-Discipline
According to Kairo, true leadership in the family comes from provision, protection, and guidance — but men cannot embody these roles if they are weak or unstable. He outlined four pillars men should prioritise:
- Physical health – Regular workouts to stay fit and strong.
- Financial stability – Building wealth and independence.
- Spiritual wellbeing – Maintaining a strong relationship with God.
- Self-mastery – Exercising discipline and controlling sexual desires.
“As a man, stay very strong. Have a good relationship with God, work out, have your money in order, train yourself to be an alpha and disciplined, and tame your sexual desires,” Kairo advised.
Warning Against Weakness
The businessman further cautioned that men who fail to invest in themselves risk being vulnerable.
“Weak men are easily manipulated; weak men end up depressed; weak men do not survive,” he warned.
Kairo’s message has since ignited discussions online, with many men resonating with his tough-love advice, while others criticised him for appearing to downplay the importance of family sacrifice.
