A 21-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death during a robbery incident in Githurai Kimbo, Kiambu County.

According to police, the victim, Harrison Njoroge, was attacked by a gang of five as he walked to a nearby shop to buy a soda for a customer at the bar where he worked. The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Witnesses said the bar had run out of soft drinks, prompting Njoroge to dash to a nearby shop. On his way, he was confronted by the gang, who stabbed him in the head before robbing him of an unknown amount of money and personal valuables.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police officers responding to the scene managed to arrest four suspects in connection with the killing. Authorities confirmed that the suspects are currently under investigation as the victim’s body was moved to the mortuary pending a postmortem examination.

Kiambu residents have since expressed concern over rising insecurity in the Githurai Kimbo area, urging police to intensify patrols and ensure justice for the slain youth.
