Renowned Kenyan rap group Wakadinali has taken their brand beyond music by unveiling a new liquor store, aptly named “The Rong Liquor.” Located in Utawala, behind Astrol Petrol Station, the store pays homage to the group’s roots and iconic slogan.

Wakadinali’s New Business Move

Wakadinali’s move into business marks a bold expansion into lifestyle and entrepreneurship. The store, The Rong Liquor, reflects the group’s cultural identity and deep roots in Nairobi’s Eastlands music scene.

Fans have responded with excitement on social media, celebrating Wagakhadinali’s leap from the rap stage to retail. Their influence now extends into the liquor market, blending entertainment and business.

About Wakadinali

Formed in the early 2010s, Wakadinali (Domani Munga, Scar Mkadinali, and Sewersydaa) rose from Nairobi’s Eastlands origins to become a defining force in Kenyan urban hip-hop . Known for their gritty lyrics, Sheng slang, and fusion of gengetone and drill, they have produced chart-topping albums like Victims of Madness and Ndani ya Cockpit 3 .

Cultural Impact and Brand Diversification

By naming their liquor store after their slogan, “Rong Rende,” the group reinforces cultural nostalgia among fans while forging a new chapter in retail. The venture underscores their ability to blend music, fashion, and entrepreneurship into a cohesive brand.
