Director Trevor has spoken out about the backlash facing content creator Mungai Eve, following remarks she made during her podcast with Liz Jackson that have drawn widespread criticism online.

Speaking in an interview with @iq.watson on YouTube, Trevor said Eve’s comments alienated her fanbase, creating a disconnect with her audience.

“People want to punish Mungai Eve. She should apologize to her fans. The mistake Mungai Eve made was to show Kenyans she’s better than them, saying she can’t date men who earn less than KSh 500,000,” Trevor explained.

Remarks Spark Online Criticism

Eve’s statement that she would not consider dating men earning under KSh 500,000 was widely perceived as out of touch with the financial realities of many Kenyans. According to Trevor, this has fueled the sustained criticism directed at her across social media platforms.

Trevor Calls for Reconnection With Fans

Trevor emphasized that the way forward for Eve is to apologize and rebuild trust with her followers. He noted that showing humility could help mend the relationship with her once-loyal audience.

The debate continues online, with many Kenyans weighing in on issues of celebrity influence, money, and humility in relationships.
