Kenyan rapper King Kaka has for the first time spoken openly about life after his separation from longtime partner Nana Owiti, shedding light on how they are handling co-parenting.
13-Year Marriage Comes to an End
In December 2024, King Kaka and Nana Owiti announced their separation after 13 years of marriage, releasing a joint statement on social media. The statement emphasized their commitment to raising their three children together with “love and respect” while requesting privacy during the transition.
King Kaka on Co-Parenting
Speaking in a candid YouTube conversation with Nairobi Senator Karen Nyamu on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, King Kaka said the two have managed to maintain peace despite the split.
“Ahh machungu, tulishamaliza. Tunacoparent vizuri, hata this weekend niko na watoto. Looking forward. Machungu sisi tulishamaliza. Tuko easy,” he said.
He stressed that their focus is on ensuring their children’s well-being while navigating their new lives separately.
Has Nana Owiti Moved On?
When asked if Nana Owiti has moved on, King Kaka responded diplomatically:
“Hizo sasa ndio haulizi. Ako na maisha yake na mimi niko na yangu, so sijui. Vile yeye pia hajui yangu.”
