Mumias East MP Peter Salasya and his staff member Harriet Njenga have publicly denied allegations of being romantically involved, following claims made by content creator Kimbikimbi.
Salasya dismissed the reports as baseless, stating clearly: “Harriet just works for me, nothing more.”
Harriet, who works closely with the legislator, also issued a strong statement condemning the rumors. She accused Kimbikimbi and other online personalities of chasing views at the expense of her reputation.
“These are lies meant to tarnish my name. If this continues, we will take serious legal action,” she warned.
The controversy has sparked heated debate online, with supporters urging restraint while others criticized the culture of unverified gossip in Kenya’s digital space.
