A woman accused of soliciting and providing support to a terrorist organization has been arrested in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
The suspect, Asho Kassim Hassan, was apprehended during a raid conducted by detectives from the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU).
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the arrest came after an intelligence-led operation that guided officers to her hideout along Major Muriithi Street in Eastleigh.
Passport, Mobile Phone Seized
During the operation, detectives recovered a passport and a mobile phone, which have been handed over to forensic experts for data extraction and analysis. Investigators are working to establish whether the suspect is part of a wider network.
Suspect Awaiting Arraignment
DCI confirmed that the woman has been detained and is undergoing processing ahead of her expected court appearance.
