Kenyan actor Bilal Wanjau has been buried in Machakos a day after he passed away while receiving treatment for diabetes-related complications.

Family reports indicate that Bilal sustained a minor wound on his leg in 2024 that did not heal properly due to his diabetic condition. Over time, the wound significantly affected his overall health and contributed to the deterioration of his condition.

On Sunday, November 30, while in Machakos, Bilal reportedly developed breathing difficulties and was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital. Doctors managed to stabilize him, offering brief hope to his family and friends.

However, on Wednesday, his condition deteriorated again, and he passed away early Thursday morning.

News of his death has saddened fans and colleagues across Kenya’s film and television industry, many of whom have paid tribute to his talent, humility, and contribution to local entertainment.
