Kitutu Chache South Member of Parliament Anthony Kibagendi is under fire after CCTV footage surfaced showing him violently assaulting a man at a Java House outlet on Thursday, November 27.
The video, which has since gone viral online, shows the MP confronting Enock Omariba Moriasi, who was seated alone in a corner of the restaurant eating his meal moments before the altercation erupted.
How the Confrontation Started
CCTV timestamps show Kibagendi entering the restaurant wearing jungle-green trousers, a black jacket, and a mask. He immediately approached Moriasi, pointing aggressively and appearing to shout in his direction.
Moriasi spoke back, though the footage has no audio, making it unclear what triggered the heated exchange.
MP Seen Kicking, Punching and Grabbing the Man
The situation escalated without warning.
The footage shows Kibagendi kicking Moriasi squarely in the chest, causing a commotion as other customers turned to look. The MP then grabbed Moriasi by the neck, forcing restaurant staff and patrons to rush over in an attempt to separate the two.
Despite their efforts, Kibagendi broke free and punched Moriasi, sending him tumbling to the floor.
In a separate moment caught on camera, the MP also slapped another customer who had stepped in to restrain him.
The chaos lasted several seconds before the tension eased.
Aftermath: MP Walks Out After Brief Exchange
Toward the end of the clip, Kibagendi is seen briefly exchanging words with Moriasi once more before turning and walking out of the Java House.
The victim, Enock Moriasi, appears visibly shaken but manages to get back on his feet as staff attend to him.
