Jennifer Lopez is taking time for herself and has no plans to start dating again following her highly publicised divorce from actor Ben Affleck.
Despite officially ending their marriage nearly a year ago, the 56-year-old global superstar is reportedly content with single life and focusing on personal growth rather than romantic relationships.
According to sources close to the singer and actress, Lopez is “happy being on her own” and feels no pressure to rush into a new relationship. Her priority, insiders say, is emotional healing and self-discovery after years of high-profile romances.
Jennifer Lopez shares 17-year-old twins, Maximilian “Max” David Muñiz and Emme Maribel Muñiz, with her former husband, singer Marc Anthony.
Lopez and Affleck’s relationship has been one of Hollywood’s most talked-about love stories. The pair were first engaged in 2002 before calling it off in 2004. They rekindled their romance nearly two decades later in 2021, delighting fans worldwide, and tied the knot in a private Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, followed by a lavish celebration in Georgia.
However, the reunion proved short-lived. Jennifer filed for divorce in 2024, listing April 26 as the official date of separation, just two years after their second wedding.
The singer, who has been married four times, previously opened up about embracing independence and learning to be comfortable alone. In an interview with Interview Magazine last year, Lopez said she was enjoying life without the pressure of being in a relationship.
“Now I’m excited when you say you’re just going to be on your own,” she said. “I’m not looking for anybody. After everything I’ve been through over the past 25 or 30 years, I’m asking myself—what can I do when it’s just me, flying on my own? What if I’m just free?”
The Grammy-nominated artist added that years of navigating “challenging situations” in relationships have helped her appreciate solitude and personal freedom.
For now, Jennifer Lopez appears focused on her career, family, and self-growth—making it clear that romance is not currently on her agenda.
