The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has issued a warning following the circulation of a viral video showing a female matatu tout entertaining passengers while the vehicle was in motion along the Kasarani route.

In the video, the tout is seen dancing while hanging on the door of the moving matatu, an act NTSA has described as extremely dangerous. The authority cautioned that such behaviour poses a serious risk and could easily lead to severe injuries or even loss of life.

NTSA reminded drivers that they bear full responsibility for the safety of their passengers, including ensuring that doors are properly secured at all times when a vehicle is in motion.

The authority further stated that it is following up on the incident with the matatu sacco involved and will update the public on the action taken against those responsible.
