Renowned Citizen TV journalist Jeff Koinange has officially announced the upcoming launch of his digital podcast titled “Off The Record.”
The show is set to debut on his YouTube channel on Sunday, March 1, 2026, marking a major step into the independent digital content space for the veteran broadcaster.
A New Chapter in Digital Media
Leveraging his extensive international career — including landmark roles at CNN, ABC News, and NBC News — the Emmy Award-winning journalist aims to create a platform for in-depth, unfiltered conversations.
“Off The Record” will feature a diverse lineup of guests, including prominent public figures, musicians, artists, and influential personalities. The podcast will focus on sharing untold stories and offering audiences deeper insights beyond mainstream headlines.
Questions Over Future at Royal Media
The announcement comes months after Koinange’s return to the screen in December 2025 under Royal Media Services, the parent company of Citizen TV and Hot 96 FM.
His move into independent digital broadcasting has sparked speculation about his future at the media house. However, there has been no official statement confirming any departure from Citizen TV or Hot 96 FM.
With his strong media presence and loyal audience base, industry observers expect “Off The Record” to quickly gain traction in Kenya’s growing podcast space.
