Popular comedian Professor Hamo has expressed deep regret over cheating on his wife with fellow comedienne Jemutai, saying the affair marked the beginning of his downfall.
The former Churchill Show star now claims his troubles started immediately after news of the illicit relationship went public on social media.
Lost Jobs and Brand Deals
Hamo revealed in 2025 that the scandal cost him lucrative brand partnerships and agency contracts, leading to an estimated financial loss of about KSh 14 million.
He admitted that his reputation was severely damaged in his late 30s, forcing him to hit rock bottom both financially and emotionally.
According to the comedian, major brands cut ties with him after the cheating allegations surfaced, leaving him struggling to rebuild his career.
“I’m Wallowing in Poverty”
Hamo says he is currently overwhelmed by loans and unable to repay them, describing his situation as financially crippling.
Despite the hardship, he credits his wife, Zipporah, for standing by him during his lowest moments and supporting his journey toward recovery through faith.
Warning to Married Men
The comedian has since cautioned men against engaging in extramarital affairs, warning that such actions can destroy families, reputations and financial stability.
He urged married men to protect their homes and avoid decisions that could lead to long-term regret and poverty.
