Michael has become the highest-grossing biographical film of all time after earning an impressive $977.4 million at the worldwide box office.

According to Box Office Mojo, the Antoine Fuqua-directed biopic has overtaken Oppenheimer, which concluded its theatrical run with $975.8 million in global ticket sales.

The latest achievement comes just weeks after Michael surpassed Bohemian Rhapsody to become the highest-grossing music biopic in cinema history.

Released in April 2026, the film chronicles the life and career of Michael Jackson and has continued to attract audiences worldwide, putting it on course to become the first biographical film to cross the $1 billion mark at the global box office.
