A man identified as Victor, popularly known as Junior from Gee, was killed by angry residents in Tiengre, Kisumu West, after he allegedly attacked a woman with a knife.

According to witnesses, the incident happened at around 7am when Junior allegedly attempted to snatch the woman’s phone.

The situation reportedly attracted the attention of members of the public, who confronted him after the alleged attack.

The man was subsequently attacked by the angry crowd and died at the scene.

Police are expected to investigate the incident and establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged phone theft attempt and the subsequent mob attack.
