Geoffrey Mosiria has hit back at comedian and media personality Oga Obinna in their escalating legal dispute, with his lawyers demanding KSh20 million in compensation over alleged defamation.
In a demand letter dated September 28, 2026, Mosiria’s lawyers accused Oga Obinna’s show and other online platforms of publishing statements and content that allegedly damaged their client’s reputation and subjected him and his family to ridicule and online harassment.
The lawyers have demanded that the disputed content be removed and retracted, followed by a public apology to Mosiria. They have also demanded KSh20 million as compensation for the alleged damage to his reputation.
Oga Obinna has been given seven days to comply with the demands, with Mosiria’s lawyers warning that court proceedings could follow if the matter is not resolved within the stipulated period.
The latest development comes shortly after Oga Obinna’s lawyers issued their own demand letter seeking KSh10 million from Mosiria over alleged defamatory statements made about the comedian on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Obinna’s legal team also demanded the removal of the disputed content, a retraction and a public apology, giving Mosiria seven days to respond.
Mosiria has since disputed Obinna’s allegations, saying he did not know the Kenyan media personality and that his references to “Obinna” were allegedly directed at a Nigerian friend who shares the same name.
The dispute is reportedly linked to the Vurugu Fight Night controversy involving fighters Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer. Mosiria had questioned circumstances surrounding the fight, prompting a response from Obinna, who rejected the allegations.
With both parties now demanding millions of shillings in separate legal letters, the dispute could proceed to court if neither side reaches an agreement.
