A fuel tanker exploded shortly after midnight at Sachangwan along the Salgaa-Nakuru stretch of the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, the Kenya Red Cross has reported.
The explosion prompted a multi-agency emergency response, with responders moving to contain the fire and assist those affected by the incident.
The Kenya Red Cross said its team arrived at the scene and attended to two casualties.
“A multi-agency team had contained the fire following the explosion,” the organisation said in a statement.
