In a recent TikTok live session, trending city preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari shared that he holds no animosity towards members of the LGBTQ+ community and refuses to engage in any form of slander or hate directed towards them.
Kanyari emphasized that he believes only God has the authority to judge others.
This revelation comes after Kanyari faced criticism for hosting self-proclaimed German-based Kenyan gay socialite Chokuu in one of his live sessions.
Addressing the backlash, Kanyari reiterated that he does not harbor hatred or judgment towards individuals, and his role is simply to pray for them, leaving the judgment to a higher authority.
“Alafu unaniambia nichukie Chokuu, mimi hiyo siwezi! As a matter of fact Chokuu ukikuja Kenya call me we go have tea, niite,” stated the city preacher in a heated manner.
Pastor Kanyari went on to add that he would never hate nor despise someone because of their sexual orientation as it is not his place to judge.
He emphasised that only God has the mandate to pass judgement on people, for the rest of us we only ought to guide them and pray for them.
“Ety sijui ni homosexual, sijui ni lesbian. Sasa mnataka nichukie watu wote kwa sababu yeye ni gay? Mimi sasa I should be like those pastors saying people should be killed because they are lesbians? Mimi I do not kill people, I don’t judge people and I will never judge.”
“Kuna yule anahukumu na huyo ni Munguu pekee,” the clearly irritated Pastor said during the TikTok live session.
