Renowned sports journalist Sean Cardovillis was bid farewell in a private family cremation ceremony held in Nairobi on Thursday.
The family gathered at the Kariako Hindu crematorium to pay their last respects to Cardovillis, a figure known for his charismatic sports reporting.
His passing occurred on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at his residence in Westlands, Nairobi, and the cause of his death remains undisclosed.
Both the authorities and the family revealed that a cleaner made the grim discovery of his body on the staircase leading to his fourth-floor apartment.
Sean Cardovillis, a Seychellois journalist who had recently returned to Capital FM after an 18-year hiatus, had been residing alone along Rhapta Road in Westlands.
