The Nation Media Group has suffered another loss after one of its best talents resigned in order to take up a senior county job.

Kennedy Muriithi who is a senior political affairs reporter at NTV is from the beginning of 2023 set to become a political advisor to Tharaka Nithi governor Muthomi Njuki.

“31st December marks my last working day at the Twin Towers. It has been a pleasure working with this great team,” Muriithi a graduate of Masinde Muliro University has said in a farewell message to his colleagues.

“To those others that have joined us along the way, thank you. You’ve bettered NTV in one way or another. You’ve helped us take away the shame planned for us,” he said.

This is the second time Muriithi is quitting the screen for a county job. In 2017 Governor Njuki appointed the journalist to be his head of communications but he returned to NTV after just a few months in the county.

NTV which had at that time lost a big chunk of its talents and was trying to rebuild itself re hired him in January 2018.

Those close to Murithi say that this time he has left for good as he really wants to test his talents outside the newsroom after being on screen for a decade.
