A high-flying Cabinet Secretary who was close to President William Ruto who has been on his side for years and was thought to have the commander in chief’s ears has been warned that he will be the first one to be fired.

This is after word reached State House that the CS who hails from Rift Valley just like his boss had colluded with a politician, also from the Rift Valley and were obtaining money from people hoping to get parastatal or ministerial appointments pretending that they were in a position to help.

Among their victims is a CS who served in the Uhuru administration that was really hoping that she will find her way to the Ruto government and a former PS whom they lied to that they can fix an appointment with the president on his behalf. Apparently, The former CS paid them Sh40 million while the former PS paid them Sh10 million.

The Rift Valley politician who was a very vocal defender of the President was called to State House and told the he is no longer welcome. He has since gone under ground since last year and has only been seen at a presidential function once.

The CS meanwhile is trying to come to terms with his new position in the larger scheme of things as his interaction with the president has been reduced to strictly business affairs.
