Police in Nyamira are searching for a nurse who has gone missing after the body of a teacher who had gone missing on Friday was found mutilated insider her house.
Ezekiel Nkeere Gitangwa, 47 who is a teacher was reported missing by his wife Gladys Achoki when he failed to return home after being dropped on Friday morning by a boda-boda rider at Egesieri village in West Mugirango.
“A search was mounted and intelligence led to a house in Egesieri belonging to one Agneta Agwata, a nurse at Nyamaiya Health Centre,” an officer aware of the investigations said.
Police gained entry by breaking the door to the house since the nurse was nowhere to be found. Nkeere’s body was found hidden in a room used for keeping poultry wrapped in a purple carpet.
The body of the deceased teacher was moved to Nyamira County Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem as police search for the nurse.
