Three soldiers attached to the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) suffered injuries at the hands of armed bandits who raided several villages in Samburu county.
The attackers disturbed the locals of Lesilampa, Lekirishati, Lempoko, and Lengoseg on the evening of Friday, February 24.
Their raid prompted the KDF soldiers to retaliate by unleashing fire on them.
They returned the fire leading to an intense altercation with the security personnel who managed to overpower them.

Several bandits were also reported to have escaped with serious injuries.
Seven cows were stolen in the course of the altercation with one being shot dead.
The soldiers immediately embarked on tracing the attackers to recover the stolen animals.
