A man who was attempting to smuggle 360 rolls of bhang into Naivasha GK prison was arrested yesterday after police received a tip-off about his activities.
James Karanja had already reached at the perimeter wall of the well-guarded prison and was about to throw his stash worth Sh260,000 over the wall when officers from the Naivasha Police station who were trailing him pounced on him. They ordered him to hand over a black laptop bag that he was carrying and on inspecting it they found it stashed with bhang.
The suspect is currently at Naivasha Police Station waiting to be arraigned in court.
