A 57-year-old man was at the weekend killed by a stone that fell off at a quarry he and others were working at in Mwiki area, Kasarani.
Wilfred Onyango was among a dozen workers at the Gituamba Farm quarry when the stone fell off the wall of the site hitting him in the head.
Police and witnesses said the man died instantly. Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei termed the incident a tragedy and vowed investigation for the safety of others.
