Former Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa now claims that four security officers who were attached to him have been withdrawn.

While speaking during the Azimio la Umoja Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting in Machakos County, Wamalwa alleged that the Kenya Kwanza administration is targeting former Cabinet secretaries allied to the Azimio camp.

“What is happening now reminds us of the dark KANU days because some of us have been seen committed to this other side, we have been targeted,” he said.

“Having been a Defense minister I had about four security officers. Three were withdrawn, but the day I was seen in Kibra the next day the only remaining police officer assigned to me was also withdrawn,” Wamalwa said.

His remarks come days after the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome Scaled down security attached to retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and former government officials.
