Kenya Red Cross official Rukia Abubakar on Sunday called on residents to move to higher places for their safety.

“Let us all sensitize our brothers and sisters to relocate to the higher grounds for safety. The flood is with us and the rain is continuing in part of Loima and Uganda,” she said.

The most affected areas are Soweto, Natambusio, Napetet, Loyo, California, Lotaparkakono and Kawalase.

According to the weather forecast, most parts of the county will continue experiencing showers and cloudy conditions.
