Armed goons who invaded Northlands City during the day have set part of the expansive piece of land on fire.

This is as former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta summoned an emergency family meeting following a raid at the property earlier today.

The meeting called by the Kenyatta family matriarch is currently happening at her home in Muthaiga, Nairobi.

It is not yet known if retired president Uhuru Kenyatta is attending the meeting which will craft a way foward for the former first family which has had influence in Kenya’s political and economic direction since independence in 1963.

Videos circulating online have shown Northland’s city, an expansive land belonging to the Kenyatta familly along the Eastern By-Pass was invaded by unknown people who cut down trees and took away animals.

The rowdy youth numbering about 300 cut the trees using power saws and set the property on fire.

It appeared a well-orchestrated raid as the majority of the youth were seen armed with power saws and actively engaged in cutting trees. Police had not intervened by nightfall.

Kenya Kwanza has been claiming that Uhuru is behind the protests by Azimio la Umoja.

National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wa on Saturday claimed Uhuru is the principal sponsor of the demos.

Ichung’wa alleged that Uhuru while acting behind the scenes is funding the demos orchestrated by ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking at the Kianyaga Boys High School in Kirinyaga county, during an alumni meeting Ichung’was said the protests are part of a bigger plan by the former President to destabilise the current regime.

He claimed Uhuru is still in denial and is finding it hard to come to terms with the Kenya Kwanza victory.

“It’s high time you accept that Ruto who was once your deputy and Rigathi who was once your personal assistant are now the President and the Deputy President of Kenya respectively,”Ichung’wa said.

“If you still assume they are your juniors you better wake up to reality and the earlier for you, the better. You can do absolutely nothing to stop them from governing the country.”
