A 25-year-old man is nursing injuries after he was attacked by an irate mob for brutally killing a 22-year-old  lady over an alleged romantic entanglement in Kitengela, Kajiado County.
The deceased who is a staff member at the Pizza Inn restaurant had rejected the man’s advances.

Kajiado County Police Commander Muthuri Mwongera confirmed the Friday night incident, which occurred inside the  restaurant, saying the suspect who is a colleague of the deceased left work early and later came back and waited for the lady outside before attacking and stabbing her.

Witnesses who saw the act descended on the assailant with kicks and blows forcing the intervention of the police who were nearby. Mwongera says the suspect is recuperating in a Kitangela hospital under police watch awaiting his arraignment on Monday.

The body of the deceased has since been taken to Shalom Hospital Mortuary as investigations into the case are underway.
