The Bungoma Police Commander has asked Preacher Ronald Nakalila Wanyama, popularly known as Nabii Yohana, to appear before him on June 2.

The 83-year-old preacher is the pastor of the Church for All Nations in Kanduyi, Bungoma, and has previously made headlines with claims that he would release his own bible as well as a new currency.

The pastor will be questioned about how his church runs, according to Franci Kooli, the Bungoma County Police Commander. The pastor, who has 42 wives and 289 children, is being probed for alleged controversial teachings, according to Kooli.

The preacher is well-known for his 93-book bible, which he is alleged to have written and which he uses to speak at his ministry. He is also supposed to have devised his own commandments, adding two to the ten given by Moses on Mt. Sinai.

Nabii, a staunch vegetarian, has five homes: six in Soi, Lugari Sub County, five in Kimilili, five in Chereng’any, sixteen in Kakamega town, and four in Kitale town. He mentioned that his women prepare saga, suja (bitter vegetables), and murenda for him. He does not consume meat.

The preacher who was born Ronald Nakalila Wanyama, claims to be the reincarnation of John the Baptist.

“I am John the Baptist who was beheaded. I lived as a white man in the US and now Africa where I’ll live for 280 years,” the preacher told the Nairobian Newspaper in 2018.

“According to the prophecy God gave me, I will die but resurrect and live for another 2,700 years,” he said.

Nabii claims his bible which took him 68 years to author has 93 books: 48 books for Old Testament. Some of the books include Mfarisayo Wilson, Agnes, Mfarisayo Geoffrey, Benson (II), Peter Petro and Mfarisayo Peter among others. Nabii’s new bible only has verses unlike the Holy Bible which is divided into chapters.

The self-proclaimed prophet commands a huge following in Bungoma, Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Kisumu County.

Nabii claims that he is on a mission to, “Save mankind from corruption, homosexuality and bad governance. I am the way, the truth and the last prophet sent by God.”
