Sarah Kabu, the managing director of Bonfire Adventures, has surprised fans by giving them a special tour of her stunning multi-million dollar property in Nanyuki, Laikipia County.
Sarah presented the magnificent features and mesmerizing design of her stunning property with KTN’s Art of Living show host, Naila Kenga, as her guide.
The modern 5-bedroom double-storey house in the tranquil Mtalii Bush within Ol Pajeta Conservancy leaves no stone untouched when it comes to extravagance.
When guests enter, they are met by four magnificent couches, two upstairs and two downstairs.
Sarah emphasizes the main dining area in the living room, an upstairs alternative for warm PJ breakfasts, and an outdoor setting for alfresco dining.
Grandeur living room
Sarah’s living room exudes palace-like grandeur, with warm-hued walls and an intriguing mix of dark-green single-seater sofas and appealing flower seating arrangements.
The Bonfire Adventures co-owner outlined her goal was to create a palatial environment, with flowered seats for the ladies and plain ones for the gentlemen. The home’s big lounge is ideal for couples to unwind and enjoy each other’s company.
“I wanted to have that feel of a palatial look and when I saw the chairs, they brought it out. The place is ideal for a few couples. Sometimes after dinner, couples can hang around here. The floral seats are for ladies, while the plain ones are for men,” Sarah said.
The cameras followed Sarah inside the comfortable Cowboys Lounge, which features an exposed brick wall design and a gorgeous beige sink-in sofa sourced locally but originating in Canada.
Sarah explained that this special area is devoted to her husband, Simon Kabu, giving the house a personal touch.
“This room is dedicated to my husband. That is why it’s called the cowboy’s lounge,” she added.
A home worth Sh50 million
During the tour, Sarah revealed that the 1000-acre property was purchased from the Ol Pajeta Conservancy.
The house itself cost around KSh 35 million, with an extra KSh 15 million spent on furnishing and personalization, bringing the total cost to over KSh 50 million. Sarah’s desire to construct a luxurious and comfortable home is reflected in this big expenditure.
“This place is 1000 acres. It is part of Ol Pajeta Conservancy. The latter in 90,000 acres, so they cut 1000 acres and built the holiday homes for sale. The house cost me around KSh 35m and furnishing it brought the cost to around KSh 50m,” she revealed.
A master bedroom fit for a king
Climbing to the upper parlor, Sarah led the way to her master bedroom, which is filled with warmth and tranquillity. The room is tastefully decorated, with two white bedside lights illuminating the white bed and adding to the overall tranquil ambience.
Sarah then introduced the small master bedroom, colloquially known as the “elephant bedroom.” This space exudes a cool and masculine vibe, with colors and details that scream elegance and style.
Walking into Sarah’s main lounge feels like entering a haven. This space’s sheer luxury and grandeur enchant the senses.
The main area, which is impeccably equipped with plush white sink-in sofas, gorgeous chandeliers, compelling art pieces, and a one-of-a-kind leather carpet, is a monument to Sarah’s impeccable taste and dedication to creating an exceptional living environment.
Cozy Fireplace
The welcoming fireplace is a major point in the master lounge, bringing warmth and a comforting feel to the space.
