For the past week, a Twitter user by the name Maverick Aoko has been trending for posting controversial stuff about Azimio la Umoja leaders.
Former Cabinet Administrative Secretary (CAS) David Osiany in particular has been on the receiving end with the tweep claiming she had a relationship with her.
Osiany, who had kept his cool all along lost has threatened to sue Aoko.
“That’s great. You will need all these things you say, at the right time and place. You will break it down very well. You will clarify it. Once and for all. Then you will learn there is a price to pay for the things you peddle here,” said Osiany.
Aoko being Aoko did not take this threat lightly as she continued with her rant on Osiany.
“Nothing triggers Me in life like a threat. It brings out the worst in me. I’m not a fan of children and marriage… It has kinda made me not the woman you want to threaten,” she said.
We are not at liberty to republish the things Aoko has been posting as we cannot prove them. This is however not the first time that Aoko has caused controversy.
The straight shooting woman who does not mince her words has rattled many women in Kenya with her views on feminism as she has sided with men on several occasions.
She has on many an occasion been seen to tweet content that supports men at large and holds women accountable for some society upheld entitlement.
Interestingly, her real name is not even Maverick. She was born as Scophine Aoko Otieno in Kisumu. According to her previous posts she comes from a polygamous family.
She is currently a student of political science at the University of Nairobi. She also has a diploma in journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and was at one point a journalist at the Standard Group.
Last year Twitter suspended Aoko for violating the rules of the platform after she attacked Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
In one of her posts, she used unprintable words to describe Raila’s four children, including the late Fidel Odinga.
She also launched scathing attacks on Raila’s close confidants, including Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, ODM chairman John Mbadi, ODM Director-General Oduor Ong’wen and Trade and Industrialisation Chief Administrative Secretary David Osiany.
She claimed that in 2018, she worked as a volunteer for ODM, but was frustrated by people close to Raila.
