Comedian Kelvin Mwangi popularly known as Shaniqwa has emotionally explained how his life was torn to pieces including why his wife left him after being fired from Standard Media Group PLC.
The comedian has said that his marital problems with his former wife Naomi Jemutai began just days after he was ousted as the Life and Style co-host of a weekly show that aired on Fridays. He explained that he was laid off because of budget cuts in mid-2021.
Desperate to make ends meet, Mwangi took on contractual work, despite the fact that the possibilities did not give a long-term answer to their financial problems.
“At the time after I was fired, my life was in shambles due to hard economic times as I couldn’t afford to pay rent and provide day-to-day basic needs for my wife and small child, Kevatin Khangi, ” he stated.
According to Shaniqwa the lady did not only walk out of her son’s life but was cheating on him. He went on to reveal how selfish she become to a point that she didn’t even care about her own child.
“We would get into altercations and one day she decided to pack her bags and leave. She wasn’t there for me and my child. So this predicament made me fall into depression and I started drinking,” he stated.
Mwangi was fortunately helped by several of his pals, Langata Mp Felix Odiwour alias Jalang’o and comedian Henry Desagu.
In addition to recounting events, the media celebrity revealed how he got into the media profession. Mwangi was given the opportunity to act in Comedy Club, a comedy show that aired on NTV, thanks to a close friend.
