Following producers’ discovery of his talent on social media, a 14-year-old child has contributed a scene to the most recent installment of the successful Spider-Man franchise.
In the form of LEGO bricks, Canadian Preston Mutanga recreated the Across the Spider-Verse trailer shot for shot and put it online.
Writer and producer of the movie Christopher Miller revealed to Rotten Tomatoes that a coworker first made him aware of Mutanga’s abilities by suggesting, “Look at this, we should get this kid to make this animation.”
“We then got in touch with him and his family and presented him with a contract. And he created the shots seen in the movie, “Smith adds.
He completed it over spring break while stating, “Any revisions I can do after my homework,” and it was a treat.
Said by Mutanga:
It was an absolute dream for me to work with the folks who actually created this masterpiece since I loved the first movie and was so excited for the sequel.
I adored the first movie and was so excited for the second that working with the creators of this masterpiece was truly like a dream for me.
The 14-year-old desires to work exclusively as an animator.
