Bongo superstar Ali Kiba has said that signing divorce papers is not an issue for him.

“I don’t entertain any of them. People create dramas and scandal. If you can’t solve it, then leave it and leave it to God, and if you have to solve it, then solve it. Then you have to relax, and even that divorce paper is not a problem,” he said.

Last week Amina Khalef, Ali Kiba’s Kenyan wife requested her husband to sign divorce papers and grant her freedom. Amina took to social media to express her grievances, stating that she is currently living in the shadow of the musician and enduring public disrespect from him.

The mother of two stated that she made the decision to leave the relationship in order to escape from abuse, pain, and humiliation. However, she expressed her frustration that moving on has been difficult because Ali Kiba has refused to sign the divorce papers.

Amina expressed how difficult it has been for her to witness her husband living a free and unrestricted life, doing as he pleases, while she feels trapped in the marriage solely to protect his public image.

She emphasized that she has reached a breaking point and decided to share her story publicly in order to urge him to sign the divorce papers and allow her to move forward with her life.

Amina initiated divorce proceedings against the singer by filing a petition at a Kadhi’s court in Mombasa in early 2022.

In her petition, Amina stated that she had departed from their marital home in Tanzania around October 2018. Her decision to leave was influenced by her deteriorating mental health during her pregnancy and ongoing conflicts with Kiba and his family.
