TV47 has recently made notable additions to its team, recruiting former KTN News anchors Fred Indimuli and Ahmed Bahajj. Additionally, the network has appointed Joe Munene as its new CEO. However, specific details regarding Indimuli and Bahajj’s roles and commencement dates have not been disclosed.
Ahmed Bahajj decided to leave KTN News after serving as a show host, news anchor, and reporter for four years and six months. On June 8, he publicly announced his departure from the network and expressed gratitude to the station for contributing to his growth as a journalist.
During his tenure at KTN News, Bahajj hosted Swahili programs such as Zilizala Viwanjani and Kipi Sijasikia, leaving a strong mark as a proud journalist.
Prior to joining KTN, Bahajj worked as a sports journalist at China Radio International. At KTN, he assumed the position formerly held by Abuller Ahmed.
Meanwhile, Fred Indimuli served as a news anchor at KTN News, where he hosted programs like Inside Politics and delivered prime-time news.
Indimuli joined KTN in September 2021, replacing Ben Kitili shortly after his departure from the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). During his time at KBC, Indimuli was part of a newly recruited team that aimed to enhance the fortunes of the state-owned media house following a revamp.
Among the journalists who joined KBC around October 2021 were Cynthia Nyamai, Fayaz Kureish, Shiksha Arora, Ahmed Juma Bhalo, and Tom Mboya.
Indimuli, a graduate of the University of Nairobi (UoN), co-hosted the lively program Easy Friday alongside Shiksha Arora. He has also worked with other prominent media outlets such as Citizen TV, K24, and Indika Media.
