Alex Mwakideu has today been unveiled as the latest entrant to the star-studded team at fast-rising station Radio 47 which is owned by billionaire Simon Gicharu.
Cape Media, the company running the radio station and TV 47, has since March this year poached big names in radio hoping to pull audiences and help grow the station into a leading source of news and information.
Among those who have been poached so far include Hassan Mwana Ali, Linda Oriaso, Eva Mwalili, Geofrey Mangou, Beatrice Maganga and Emmanuel Mwashumbe.
Mwakideu will be making a debut on Radio 47 on Monday, August 28, 2023 together with Mwashumbe for the breakfast show.
Just days ago, the former Milele FM presenter announced his departure from the Mediamax-owned radio station but later claimed a misunderstanding had led to the decision.
“Yooh, bado niko Milele FM. Kumbe munanipenda hivi… aaawwweeee… Thank you for all the phone calls and text messages, we had a small misunderstanding, which has been sorted. So we are now good to go! Itambe Milele!” Mwakideu said on Facebook.
He later showed up as a guest at Radio 47 where he clarified that he had indeed quit Milele FM
