The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kenya has issued a stern warning, threatening legal action against airport personnel implicated in human smuggling activities at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

According to intelligence gathered, individuals from various agencies are allegedly involved in this illicit trade.

The DCI says that airport staff are facilitating the illegal movement of people across international borders through the airport.

The personnel suspected of involvement in these activities include members of the National Police Service, Kenya Airports Authority, Immigration officials, and airline employees.

“This office has noted with a lot of concern that people are being smuggled in and out of the country through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with the assistance of airport staff,” stated the DCI.

The DCI went on to serve a stern warning to all agencies mentioned, urging them to cease such activities immediately. The DCI also made it clear that legal action would be taken against anyone caught participating in these illegal operations.
