Three officers from the National Intelligence Service (NIS) have been arrested after a businessman accused them of threatening him and stealing $160,000 (Sh23 million) from him.
The three; Charles Gichohi Muchoya, Cyprian Njagi Ironcho na Roy Opiyo Odunga were presented yesterday before Milimani Law Courts Chief Magistrate Wandia Nyamu and charged with robbery with violence.
The court was told that the three officers while armed with guns accosted and robbed Said Omar Mohammed $160,000 on June 22 this year while in Westlands. All of them denied the charges and were released on a cash bail of Sh200,000 each.
The case will be mentioned on September 22.
