Controversial content creator Andrew Kibe has had his YouTube account terminated by the platform, citing a violation of its terms of service as the cause for the closure.

Kibe, known for his unapologetically confrontational approach towards Kenyan celebrities and his often polarizing views on current affairs, had garnered a substantial following of 474,000 subscribers on his channel. He had posted a staggering 3,100 videos before YouTube’s abrupt termination.

The shutdown of Kibe’s popular channel triggered a mixed response from both fans and critics, sending him soaring to the top of Twitter’s trending topics.

While Kibe did not openly address the termination of his account, he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and seemed to downplay the incident as a minor setback in his creative journey.

“Train ili toka stenje kitambo, hizi ni kelele za chura. Time ya LIVE ni ile ile aisay,” Kibe remarked, suggesting that he would continue to produce content on other platforms.

Operating from Texas after leaving his radio hosting role in Kenya, Kibe has swiftly ascended the social media hierarchy, drawing comparisons to British-American kickboxer Andrew Tate, who shares his first name. Locally, he has engaged in confrontations with numerous Kenyan celebrities, including Bahati and Diana, former Governor Mike Sonko, and even fellow content creators.
