Ex-KTN news anchor Ahmed Bahajj poached by BBC after just four months at TV47

Swahili TV news anchor Ahmed Bahajj has been poached by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to join their sports desk.

Bahajj made the news public after reporting to his new job station. He has joined BBC after leaving TV47 – a station he has only served for a few months.

“Hatimaye nimejiunga rasmi na Shirika la BBC swahili..Ntawajibika kama Broadcast journalist Dira ya dunia Tv Swahili,” he said.

“Mwanzo mpya ,ukurasa mpya. #piga mstari chini yake,” Ahmed Bahajj said after joining BBC.

Bahajj joined TV47 back in June together with Fred Indimuli who had also left KTN. Bahajj was a sports anchor in charge of ‘Zilizala Viwanjani and Kipi Sijaskia at KTN before he was poached by TV47 to host a show dubbed Mchaka Mchaka.
