In a recent incident that unfolded early Sunday morning, a businessman found himself the victim of a theft at a local club in Karen. The man was allegedly drugged and subsequently robbed by his female companion.

According to the police, the businessman and his female companion were enjoying a night out at a Karen-based club on the day in question.

At approximately 2 a.m., the duo left the club together. They were observed carrying a bottle of water that was reportedly spiked with a drug (popularly called ‘mchele‘ or ‘pishori‘).

While inside their vehicle, the man suddenly lost consciousness. During his vulnerable state, the woman took advantage of the situation and robbed him. She made off with his firearm, two mobile phones, and an unknown sum of money before making a hasty escape.

The businessman’s prolonged presence in the club’s parking lot raised suspicions among the security team. The club’s personnel then decided to investigate further, where they found the man passed out.

The lady whom he had left the club in the company of, was also missing prompting the security team to deduce she had drugged the man.

The businessman would regain consciousness seven hours later. His firearm, which contained 15 bullets, was also conspicuously absent. He was subsequently transported to a hospital as authorities initiated their investigation into the incident.

Later, the police reported that the stolen firearm had been retrieved.

The female suspect had apparently left it behind in a taxi, and the driver dutifully handed it over to a local police station. At present, law enforcement agencies are actively pursuing the suspect, working to bring her to justice.
