Police and Kenya Power officials are investigating an incident in which a 45-year-old man was electrocuted while warming water in his house in Githurai 44, Nairobi.

The body of Charles Karanja Kinyanjui was found lying in a house moments after he had died Saturday.

He was holding a water heater and wires on his hands and the body was partially soaked in water, police said.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the drowning of a 60-year-old man in Mwea, Kirinyaga County.

The body of Daniel Kinyua was discovered having drowned in a well and beside his body was a sack of charcoal, police said.

And a two-year-old boy drowned in an open hole in a neighbor’s compound in Webuye, Bungoma County.

The hole had been dug there to hold rainwater for making bricks, police said.

Police said the deceased was in the company of the neighbor’s daughter around Monday playing there when he slipped there and drowned.

Neighbors retrieved the body and tried to administer first aid to him in vain.

The body was moved to St Bakhita Funeral Home awaiting postmortem.
