Police are actively seeking a man involved in a fatal stabbing incident that claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman in a suspected love triangle outside a bar in Suneka, Kisii County.

The victim, Elizabeth Wankio, a bar attendant in the area, was discovered lying in a pool of blood outside the premises hours after the tragic incident, which occurred on January 8 around 10 pm.

According to the police, Elizabeth was employed at the bar where the incident took place.

The examination of her body revealed a deep neck wound inflicted by a sharp object.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a man, believed to be her boyfriend, fleeing the scene shortly after the murder.

The motive behind the incident remains unclear, and the police are actively searching for the suspect who is believed to be on the run. Detectives are urging the man to surrender for questioning.

The woman’s body has been transferred to the mortuary, where it awaits autopsy and further processing. The investigation into the tragic event is ongoing.
