Authorities are on the lookout for a man who fatally stabbed his girlfriend during a heated altercation in the Biafra slums of Nairobi.

The lifeless body of 20-year-old Serah Ndunge Musyoki was discovered in her residence long after the incident occurred on the night of Sunday, January 28, according to the police.

Following the stabbing, Musyoki was urgently transported to Mother and Child Hospital along Yusuf Haji Avenue, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.

The assailant, identified by the victim’s family as her boyfriend, is currently at large, and ongoing efforts are being made by the police to locate him.

The motive behind the fatal attack remains unknown at this time, with authorities noting that the man and the deceased woman were the sole individuals present in the house during the incident.

Serah’s body has been transferred to the mortuary, where an autopsy is set to be conducted. Police reports indicate that she sustained stab wounds to the chest.

Her death adds to the growing concern over a series of violent crimes against women, prompting protests in major towns across the country. According to police records, at least 25 women have been murdered in the last two months alone.

On Saturday, a group of women staged demonstrations, condemning what they referred to as femicide and urging authorities to address the alarming number of female deaths.
