Detectives in Bondo sub-county are probing the death of a 25-year-old man discovered in a residential area within Usenge town last evening.

The deceased, identified as Pius Onyango Ouma, was found hanging on a fencing pole in the compound of the residential property, raising suspicions of suicide.

Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo reported that Jennifer Maureen Aringo, the landlady, reported the incident to the police. Officers from Usenge police station visited the scene, revealing that the deceased had an altercation with his wife on Saturday night, after which he left the house and did not return.

Although Onyango did not leave behind any written indication, the absence of visible physical injuries has led authorities to suspect suicide. The body has been transferred to the Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary pending an autopsy.
