Detectives are actively pursuing a gang that carried out a robbery at a petrol station in Mashuru, Kajiado County, making off with Sh150,000 stolen from an attendant.

The incident unfolded at Wario Filling Station in Selengei Shopping Centre on Wednesday night, according to the police.

Two individuals on a motorcycle approached the station, requesting it to be filled with fuel. Once the refueling was complete, the pump attendant asked for payment. However, the armed suspects, wielding rungus, dismounted and attacked the attendant.

The pump attendant was struck, causing him to fall to the ground, and the assailants proceeded to rob him of Sh150,000 from his pocket. During the incident, the pump attendant sustained an injury on his right hand palm.

Following the robbery, the gang fled the scene on their motorcycle. The police arrived promptly, launching a hunt for the suspects, and are currently reviewing security camera footage in the area as part of the investigation into the attack.
