A suspected burglar was electrocuted as he tried to break into a house in Vihiga County, authorities have said.
The incident occurred on March 6 when the individual tried to disable the power supply by tampering with the main switch. Unfortunately, his attempt ended tragically as he was electrocuted.
Police responded to a call from Ebusikhale village and discovered a deceased individual next to a meter box. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the deceased had broken into the property, uprooted arrowroot plants, and attempted to steal chickens from the poultry farm.
While in the midst of his unlawful activities, the suspect tried to manipulate the electricity supply at the meter box, resulting in his electrocution and subsequent death at the scene.
The body was transported to the mortuary pending an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
