After several months of avoiding each other and seeming to have fallen out Azimio leader Raila Odinga has reunited with his former allies ex-Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and his once trusted ally Suna East MP Junet Mohammed.
The three departed the country on Monday night for an undisclosed mission abroad through Dubai where they met KANU leader Gideon Moi.
KANU’s Twitter account revealed their departure, stating that they met with party leader Gideon Moi before leaving the country. Moi wished Odinga success in his quest for the AU Commission Chairperson position.
“Hon Gideon Moi departed the country yesterday for Rome where he encountered Raila Odinga, Hassan Ali Joho, and Junet Mohamed on a Dubai-bound flight. The four had a pleasant time catching up on various issues affecting the country,” the post read.
Junet and Joho were part of Raila’s inner circle in the run up to the 2022 general elections. They are however accused of bungling the election by failing to deploy enough agents across the country.
Since then they have rarely been seen on Raila’s side and have largely kept away from ODM party affairs.
